The Razorblade

The Razorblade disbanded for unknown reasons. Before they performed in Vienna Arena, they used to play in rehearsal rooms and find new, unheard sounds. As for myself and being the bass player, I experimented when I was there alone. All these machines fascinated me, therefore I recorded songs and raps – I even din’t hear my collegues knocking on the door. People where searching me, but I was producing with earphones for hours and hours. Sometimes I slept there, without realizing the time.

I enjoyed covering famous music, like While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Revolution or She’s So Heavy by The Beatles. Also, Gimme Some Truth by John Lennon. Or Kiss and I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man by Prince. For the latter my Tom – assistant helped me. And Suzie Q. by CCR – together with 2 guitars.  People and guests where standing in front of the doors and listened for hours. All space was full. The danced and shouted, they loved our sound and The Razorblade were always eager to bring as much energy to the stage as possible. I remember Chelsea gigs, with The Cross by Prince, or I Wana Be Your Dog by The Stooges. Of course, Velvet Underground music Satellite Of Love or Waiting For The Man – entertained the audience, too.

I always loved my audience. What would I do without them? They assisted me in texts, sound files via walkman for improvisations and stuffed me with water and beer. There are many videos and sound files, I don’t know where – we will find them in the future.

Some audience recorded the gigs and in rehearsal room. Please contact me at club[@]sybil.site, if you find some fotos, sounds or old casettes by The Razorblade.
